Donald L. Valcour, 85, died early Monday morning, August 13, 2018. He was the loving husband of Joyce E. (Forbes) Valcour, with whom he shared more than sixty-five years of marriage, and who predeceased him by only two months. Born in Danvers on Oct. 29, 1932, he was the son of the late Harmel and Laura (Fornier) Valcour. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of the Salem Vocational School. Mr. Valcour was employed as a draftsman for many years with Western Electric, ultimately retiring from AT&T. He enjoyed woodworking, Christmas, and spending time with his family. Most especially, his granddaughters and great-granddaughters meant the world to him. He leaves two children, Sharon Fortuna and her husband Richard of Danvers and Kevin Valcour of Beverly, two granddaughters, Tracey Perry and Ashley Rajotte, four great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Meaghan Perry, Kaylee Valcour, and Charlotte Rajotte. He was predeceased by his siblings Victor, Al, Roger, and Jeanette Valcour, and Theresa Barnett. Funeral Services are private. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Donald’s name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Boston, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
