Donald M. Gould, 81, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Hathorne Hill Nursing & Rehab. Center in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Margaret Louise (MacLean) Gould, with whom he shared more than fifty years of marriage. Born in Beverly on Oct. 28, 1935, Don was raised and educated in Boxford and was a graduate of Punchard High School in Andover, Class of 1953. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army in Germany, serving in the Ordnance Corps. He was employed by Purity Supreme for more than thirty years, retiring as a manager. A longtime Danvers resident and a member of Vittori-Rocci Post #56 in Beverly and the VFW Auxilliary, Don also volunteered with Operation Troop Support for many years. He had a passion for cars and a love of history, especially WWI and WWII. He leaves two children, Susan McGrath and her husband Chuck of Danvers and Charles Gould and his wife Joan Sweeney of Peabody, two grandchildren, Shaelyn and Ethan McGrath, a sister, Marjorie Reynolds and a brother, Leonard Gould, both of Arkansas, a close cousin, Elaine Gould of Boxford, and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-7PM in the funeral home. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s name may be made to Operation Troop Support, 16 Trinity St., Danvers, MA 01923.

    willing to lend a hand to the organization. We talked here and there, he was a very
    nice man. Rest in peace Don.
