TOPSFIELD-Edmund T. Walsh, 92, passed away in his home on March 10, 2020. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Louise (Bowman) Walsh. Born on June 1, 1927, he was the son of the late James and Marie (Nadeau) Walsh. Ed was a lifelong resident of Topsfield. He served our country with the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Georgetown. Ed had a long career as a brick mason and had worked for McGregor Construction for many years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed car racing. He also loved gardening and hunting. He is survived by three children, Thomas Walsh of Topsfield, Mary Martin of West Newbury and Cathy Seale of Rowley, his siblings, Richard Walsh of Georgetown, Phillip Walsh of Florida and Rosemarie Walsh of Topsfield, his grandchildren, Robyn & Ryan Maker and John Morgan, Vernon Walsh, David and Joseph Martin and Jonathan, Michael and Steven Seale, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Patricia Morgan and siblings, Mary Jane Perkins, Robert, David and James “Bud” Walsh and Jeannette Bradstreet. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:30AM on Monday, March 16, 2020 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 9:30-11:15AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edmund’s name to New England Equine Rescue North, 52 Ash St., West Newbury, MA, 01985.
