Elaine B. Saulnier

BEVERLY- Elaine B. (Hentschel) Saulnier, 73, passed away on June 23, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of the late John E. Saulnier, Jr., with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody on December 11, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Royal) Hentschel. Elaine had been a 4H girl and from there her love of sewing and knitting grew. When she was older, she knit blankets and caps for the senior center, which were donated to local hospitals for new born babies. She also enjoyed bingo, traveling with her husband and spending time with her girlfriends. Elaine had been a crossing guard in Beverly for several years, a carrier for Salem News and had worked in the cafeteria at North Shore Community College.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Wilczek and her husband Eric of Beverly and Michael Russo and his significant other, Christine Newman of Beverly, her grandchildren, Daniel Wilczek and Amanda Russo and her fiancé, Colby Tavares and a great grandson, Logan Tavares, her brother, Paul Hentschel, Jr. and his wife, Vicki of Beverly, her sister-in-law, Cindy Hentschel of ME, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Russo of Boxford, her nephews, Derek, Paul III and Marc Hentschel and a great niece, Jennifer Hentschel and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, George Hentschel.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elaine’s name to the American Lung Assoc., 1661 Worcester Rd #301, Framingham, MA 01701.
