Eleanor Regina Williams Eveleth, born March 14, 1927, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 98.
Eleanor married the love of her life, Francis Eveleth, in 1946. Together they built a warm and devoted life first in Beverly and later in Wenham, where she lived for many decades before moving to Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in her later years. Eleanor and Francis shared 58 years of marriage until his passing in 2004. She was also the beloved mother of James, Gary, and Heidi Eveleth, all of whom predeceased her. Despite profound loss, Eleanor carried herself throughout life with grace, humor, and inspiring resilience.
Eleanor worked at Sylvania in Danvers, MA, where she met Francis, and later at Danvers State Hospital, often working side by side with her husband. The two also shared a passion for antiques and together ran a retail business, The Yesterday Shop, for many years a partnership that brought her tremendous pride and joy.
Creative and enthusiastic throughout her life, Eleanor embraced every opportunity to make the world brighter. She loved tap dancing, music, painting, and gardening. In her later years in assisted living, she participated in every activity offered and quickly became known as the resident crafter. She especially enjoyed bingo, exercise time, and decorating the home for the holidays. Her playful spirit and willingness to join in all the fun made her a beloved presence among both residents and staff.
To her family, Eleanor will forever be the fun grandmother who infused every holiday with magic. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly on a treasured family trip to Disney, where she joyfully joined her grandchildren on every ride.
Eleanor leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Eric Eveleth of Beverly, MA, who visited her daily at her nursing facility; Jennifer Morley, who loved attending bingo with her, and Jennifer’s husband, David, of Beverly Farms, MA; James Eveleth, who treasured taking her out for lunch on his days off, and his husband, Chuck Huberdeau, of Hampton Falls, NH; Dawn Phillips and her husband, David, of Hollis, NH; and Jet Eveleth of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by three cherished great-grandchildren: Matthew Morley of Beverly Farms, MA, and Wyatt and Tobin Phillips of Hollis, NH.
Eleanor will be remembered for her warmth, humor, creativity, and unwavering love for her family. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Francis and their children.

Eleanor was always a pleasure to chat with, she was a very knowledgeable person and full of fun. I don’t think I ever saw her upset over anything. She was always with the program and enjoyed all the fun things that Ledgewood had to offer. We always had fun when Tom and Wendy came to entertain us on Sunday afternoon and she always sat right in front of me so we could chat; it was the best hour of my day. I will miss her smile and wisdom.
