My condolences to the family. I have very fond memories of Aunt Betty. We last visited at her home and enjoyed the most amazing lobster feast. It was nice to reconnect again. She gave me a call a few years ago to catch up. It was lovely chatting with her and finding out about what everyone was up to. She was so proud of her daughters and I know they took such good care of her. She was also very proud of all her grandchildren and their children. She was sharing stories with me when she called. She will now be welcomed by Uncle Delbert and Joey and all the others that have gone before her including my mom and dad. She will watch over you all from heaven. Sending hugs to all those who will miss her here on earth.

While words cannot bring our loved ones back, this quote may comfort you.
“Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room, I am I, you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Put not difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.”
To my most beloved Aunt Betty..
Many Thanks for your love and support over the years. I will always remember our trips together and the times at your place with Mom. Joanne said she remembers our trip from the valley to your place and the fun we had with the three of us on the road. You will always be in our hearts. Love to you and Uncle Delbert and Family
Betty,
You were one of my favorite mentors when as I started my nursing career as a nurses aide at Salem Hospital. I was 20, with a one year old and you quickly became a good friend and inspiration in not only in my.nursing career, but as my advisor \ therapist as I waded along in motherhood. Thank you…I loved you and
I’m not even sure you knew it….
