DANVERS- Frances M. (Raimo) McKenna, 98, passed away on February 3, 2018 in Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers. Born in Lynn on May 29, 1919, she was the daughter of Rocco and Kathleen (Donegan) Raimo. She was raised in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School in 1937 and the Chandler School in 1939. Frances was married for sixty years to John J. McKenna, who died in 2007. She was employed at the Essex Registry of Deeds in Salem from 1939-1947. She also worked in Springfield and New Haven, CT and retired from Wang Laboratories, Inc, Lowell in 1981, where she was secretary to Dr. An Wang. She is survived by her nephew, Christopher Raimo of Marblehead, her niece, Paulette Raimo of Marblehead and several cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, K. Geraldine Raimo and John C. Raimo and her nephew, Charles Raimo. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 8:15AM from C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Frances’ name to a charity of one’s choice.

  3. A lot of wonderful memories Fran and I shared. Together.We always had a great laugh
    remembering our trip together to
    Ireland. Oh the stories we would tell.

    Family gatherings on all holidays, especially
    Christmas and of course St. Patricks Day.
    I will always carry in my heart the fond memories of Jack And Fran. I miss them
    Terribly. They gave a a lot of love
    To their unofficial Grandsons Brian and
    Benjamin who in turn loved them both
    Unconditionally. They will have these memories forever, as I will treasure

  4. Dear Fran, I will dearly miss you. I just found out of your passing when I didn’t get my birthday card , you were always the first. Since I was a little girl, Jack and Fran were my godparents,you were a part of my family. I will always remember our conversations on the phone and our visits. I am very glad you were in my life. You were a wonderful and kind woman. I have some many wonderful memories growing up through the years.
