Grace V. Kirwin

Grace V. Kirwin, 97, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Danvers on July 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Knickle) Kirwin. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1941 graduate of Holten High School.
Grace worked at Woolworth’s in Danvers Square, where she was assistant manager for thirty-one years. After the store closed, she was an office manager at Woolworth’s in Lynn for five years and then in Boston for five years until the time of her retirement.
A lifelong Danvers resident, she loved knitting for friends and family. She volunteered these knitting skills at Maple Street Church, where she knitted for infant christenings.
She leaves a brother, Robert Kirwin of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Wilma Byram and Barbara Kirwin.
At Grace’s requests, funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.

I lost touch w Grace a year or so ago.
She enjoyed her time at the elderly complex.
She had some kind of medel that her father received.
I promised to go see that commendation.
