Gwendolyn L. Orcutt

TOPSFIELD-Gwendolyn L. (Clute) Orcutt, 101, passed away on October 11, 2019 in Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield. She was the wife of the late Carl L. Orcutt, Jr. Born in Salem on February 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Ahran and Gertrude (Raymond) Clute. She was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from the Salem Teachers College. She continued on to Boston University to receive her master’s degree in education. Gwendolyn had been an elementary school teacher in the Lynn Public Schools for over thirty years. She had resided in Topsfield since 1971 and was a parishioner of Saint Rose of Lima Church. She enjoyed line dancing, traveling and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. She is survived by her dear friends, Ann Leonard of Danvers and Patricia Luippold of Topsfield. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 9AM in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 12 Park St., Topsfield. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. There are no visiting hours.
