PEABODY- James J. Moynihan, 88, passed away on June 9, 2021 in Continuing Care at Brooksby Village in Peabody. He was the husband of Suzanne (Nicot) Moynihan with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Cambridge on December 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Vincent and Mary (Fahy) Moynihan. James was raised and educated in Cambridge. He attended Saint Mary School and graduated from Cambridge Latin. James served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University. He had a long career as National Manager of Dealer Relations for the Honda Motor Company. James had worked for Honda in Boston, Portland, Oregon and Newport Beach, CA. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Marilyn Hober, Larry and Thomas Moynihan, Mary Ellen Maloney, Ann Morrison, Donna Magiera, Joanne Duplessis, Andrea Moore, Janet Barry, Alison Heon, Aileen Haggerty, James Burke, Patricia and John Moynihan, Carol Jean Moynihan Parsons and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Ann Shea, Vincent, John and George Moynihan and Mary Burke, and a niece and nephew, William and Elaine Moynihan. A private service will be held in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne.
