DANVERS- James Michael “Jimmy” Murray, 83, passed away on January 14, 2022, in his home, he was the son of the late Helena Murray Vitale, the beloved nephew of the late Marylou Barry, Bertha Niebrzydowski, Ruth Hanson, Ellen McMahon and Margaret Cinitski.
Jim was born and raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical. He served with the United States Army, and went on to work for the MDC, Parks and Recreation. Jim loved the woodlands, fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Stinson of Saugus, Michelle Murray-Mendez of Danvers, Danielle Murray of Danvers and Amy Murray of Danvers, his former wife, Mary Jillson, his brothers, Richard Tiberii and his wife, Kathy, Louie Tiberii and his wife, Rolly and sister-in-law, Carol Tiberii, seven grandchildren, James M. Murray, David Toppi, Joseph Roy, Alyssa Mendez, Shawn and Olivia Ayott and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Jaimee Mendez and his brother, Michael Tiberii.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-11AM in the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Jim was a kind and gracious man, sincere, thoughtful and interested when conversing with you. It was delightful to hear his stories.
Jim was always so animated smiling, laughing just enjoyable listening. He celebrated everyone’s achievements. His praise was genuine. His knowledge was vast, his recall and memory amazing.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Jimmy’s passing. I remember how personable and what a kind person he was. One memory is how animated he was and how much he liked the yard in North Reading when he came to my graduation party. He truly did love nature. Thoughts and prayers to everyone.
