Janet L. Ganey

Janet L. (Doucette) Ganey, 91, passed away at her home in Rowley on Friday, January 15, 2021. She was the wife of the late Carol B. Ganey, who predeceased her in March of 2020. Born in Salem on August 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Gregory and Alice (Cyr) Doucette. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School. Janet and her late husband were longtime residents of Salem, where they raised their family of five children. In 1987, they relocated to Citrus Hills, FL where Janet enjoyed playing tennis for many years. She leaves four children, Michael Ganey and his companion Patricia Trafton of Rowley, Judy Strasnick and her partner Ranu Shailam of Beverly, Karen Carideo and her husband Frank of Rowley, and Brett Ganey of North Carolina, a sister, Jean Lee of Citrus Hills, FL, her grandchildren, Kelly Ganey, Kristen Nivison, Brett Strasnick, Shannon Robins, Christopher Cunningham, Amanda, Adam, and Ashley Maccario, Bethany DeBene, and Justin Ganey, and her great-grandchildren, Campbell, Caroline, Jack, Levi, Charlie, Ellie, and Luisa. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Cunningham. Funeral Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843.
