Jayne Toomey

DANVERS- Jayne (Gibbs) Toomey, 69, passed away unexpectedly at Beverly Hospital. She was the loving wife of Shawn Toomey with whom she shared thirty-five years of marriage. Born in Melrose on July 9, 1952, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Agnes (McGilley) Gibbs. She was raised and educated in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School. Out of Jayne’s love for animals grew a lifelong career as a dog groomer. Jayne had most recently worked at Lucky Dogs Day Care before retiring last year. Jayne was excited to relax and enjoy life. She enjoyed spending time with her father-in-law and her beloved pets. She was talented artist at heart. Most importantly Jayne was a good friend. In addition to her husband, Shawn, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Pellizzaro of Peabody and Krystyn Lange and her husband, Ken of Indiana, she was the cherished grandmother of Benjamin, Marcus, and Cecelia, as well as; her father-in-law, John Toomey, sister-in-law, Tricia Toomey of NH, sister-in-law Beth, husband Steve and nephew, William Cope of NH, Michael Toomey, wife Sarah Brown and nephew, Augustus of NY. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Pat Toomey. Jayne’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2021, from 12-4pm at St. Michaels Society, 12 Endicott St, Peabody, MA, 01960.
