Jean L. (Dionne) (Morrison) Hogan, 86, died peacefully on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by the love of her family. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Hogan. Born in Salem on July 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Talbot) Dionne. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy. A longtime Peabody resident, where she raised her family, Jean had resided in Danvers for the last twenty years. For nearly a quarter of a century, Jean was the head bookkeeper at Notini & Sons in Lynn. She loved visiting with friends and playing cards at the senior centers in both Peabody and Danvers. She also enjoyed travel; Italy, Greece, and Las Vegas with her great friends were trips she cherished. She was a member of the Polish Club in Danvers. Spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren gave her the greatest joy. Whether it was babysitting, going to games, or holiday gatherings, Jean loved being with her family. She leaves two sons, Bruce Morrison and Dwight Morrison and his wife Suzanne, all of Danvers, three grandsons, Christopher Morrison and his wife Katie of Chelmsford and Connor and Cameron Morrison, both of Danvers, three great-grandchildren, Blakely, Luca, and Parker Morrison, and a niece, Leslie Fortier. She was predeceased by a sister, Lucille Fortier. Jean’s family is especially grateful for the care she received in her final months from Care Dimensions, especially the staff at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN 38105, or the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
