TOPSFIELD- Joanne Marie (Maynard) Wildes, 87, passed away surrounded by her family on April 25, 2018 in Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield. She was the wife of the late Roger Wildes, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, both lifelong Topsfield residents. Born in Boxford on June 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Flanders) Maynard. She was a graduate of Proctor Academy in Topsfield. She had been employed at Old Frahers Apothecary and also was a school bus driver in Topsfield for many years. She is survived by her five children, Catherine Stump and her husband, J. Terry of Sanbornville, NH, Joanne Wilgo of Beverly, Roger Wildes, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Groveland, Diana DiTomaso and her husband, John of Lynn and Gary Wildes of Seabrook, NH, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of fourteen siblings. Joanne’s family would like to thank the staff at Masconomet Health Care Center for the special care they gave their mother and the compassion shown to both her and her family. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9AM-10:45AM on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne’s name to the American Cancers Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701.
