John J. Ciman

June 2, 1957 ~ June 9, 2021
John J. Ciman, 64, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at home with his loving partner, Cathy Del Fuoco, by his side. John was born in Danvers to the late Leo and Marie (Carbrey) Ciman.
John was raised in Danvers and attended Danvers High School as a member of the Class of 1975 and excelled during a long and successful career in the sheet metal industry. It was here that he met the love of his life, Cathy. Together, they were a valued team at Lighthouse Manufacturing in Peabody and later Portsmouth, NH.
Outside of work, John shared his craftsman skills by surprising friends with such diverse gifts as handmade fly rods, a barbecue grill, and furniture. He loved fishing, hunting, antiquing, and was a fierce cribbage player.
John was a trustworthy friend and fun to be around whether it was at a cookout, camping trip, or just sharing a canoe ride on the pond. He made many loyal and lifelong friends with his quick wit, dry humor, and relaxed style.
John was kind to all and especially enjoyed family time with Cathy’s daughter Kelly Mota and her husband Bruno, his brother Jim Ciman and his wife Kathy of Danvers, his sister Donna Dunham and her significant other Paul Marino of Danvers, his nieces Danielle Dunham and Daryl Popper, his nephew Corey Dunham, his great-nephews Royce and Oliver, many cousins and dear friends.
Visiting hours for John will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5-7Pm in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
