John J. Marchant, 92, died Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Hathorne Hill in Danvers.
Born in Danvers on January 20, 1927, he was the son of the late Francis and Claire (Nangle) Marchant. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School.
A longtime Danvers resident, he resided at Landmark at Oceanview in Beverly for the last five years, where he made many friends. He enjoyed tending to his beautiful gardens.
He leaves two nieces, Anne Dzierzak of Danvers and Jeanne Zibell of Huntsville, AL. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Marchant.
His funeral service will be Friday at noon in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 11-11:45AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923. Jeanne and Anne, so sorry for your loss. I remember Uncle Jack fondly. His quiet dry wit was awesome! I do admit I thought he was Barbara’s brother for the first 5 years that 8 knew h8m!
