I always looked forward to John Phillips visits to his Aunt Margaret Thompson (my grandmother) back here in Ky. where his father lived. He was usually on his way to visit a business client somewhere and the stories of his travels were always interesting. But the best visit was the year he and Doris brought their entire family here for a week. We built a dock for our pond so we could fish, swim and dive. It was a great week. I’ll never forget Sally riding my horse Lightning who could be a little high strung. He took her right under my grandmothers clothesline and swept here off his back. But she hopped up and got right back on. John Phillip was always good to stay in touch with my grandmother and that meant a lot to her. Rest In Peace, you will be missed.

So glad I got to know him and share a dance with him which we recalled on my last visit.
