Born in:
Beverly, Massachusetts
Resided in:
Danvers, Massachusetts
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John R. “Jack” White, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, at the age of 71. Jack passed away on February 10, 2026, after succumbing to complications of Parkinson’s disease. While he fought with unwavering grit and determination for many years, he finally found the rest he deserved.
Born in Beverly on January 19, 1955, he was the son of the late Kingsbury and Nadja (Melta) White. He grew up never knowing the meaning of ‘idle,’ incapable of staying static for long. He worked hard, played hard and mastered many trades. While he lived fast in his younger years, he found his true purpose when he settled down with his wife, Carol (Conrad) White. Together for nearly 40 years and married for 35, he channeled that relentless work ethic into becoming a devoted husband, wonderful father to Sarah (White) Vogel, and proud Papa Jack to Conrad Vogel, proving that even the fastest movers find their greatest joy in the quiet strength of home.
Jack’s love extended to his siblings, Richard White and Patricia White, both of Danvers, Patricia’s partner, Richard Gilmore, and his son-in-law Mark Vogel, as well as all his extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:30-10:45AM, followed by a funeral service at 11AM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. The burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John Robert White may be made to the NICU at Boston Children’s Hospital. Contributions can be made online at https://secure.childrenshospital.org/ or by mail to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115. Reference NICU on memo line. Carol and Sarah so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. Unfortunately we are in Florida and we will miss the services but please know you are both in our thoughts
Berry Street will never be the same without Jack
On behalf of my sisters, Debbie and Lois, and myself, we want to express our condolences for Jackie.
Our fondest memories are playing on Sheffield Rd. Sledding, tag, hide and seek, or stealing Patty’s make up and making a concoction in the backyard. Patty knows!
Jackie was so great to our mom Sophie after our dad passed. The son she never had!
And on a personal note, whenever anything needed to be repaired at Beacon St,, better call Jackie!
He was a wonderful friend. He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences on Jack’s passing from his illness. Really enjoyed the video collage of his life offering a chance to reflect on all the wonderful times. It was very well done and so glad that Conrad had a role. I am sure that Papa Jack was very happy to have met his grandson.
All our vert best and will see you on Saturday.
