Joseph B. Santorella age 86 of Venice, formerly of Danvers, MA, passed away on February 4, 2019. He was the husband of Barbara Jean (Kitchin) Santorella with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Joseph served our country with the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was a lieutenant on the Danvers Fire Department in MA for over thirty years. He was also the owner and operator of Santorella Plumbing and Heating. For many years Joe played the accordion and loved being together with his family while enjoying summers on Lake Winnipesaukee. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his son, Dan Santorella and his wife, Barbara of Danvers, MA, his daughters, Nancy Santorella Boley and her husband, Rick of Weddington, NC and Julie Santorella of Venice, FL, his grandchildren, Heather Elliott and her husband, Joshua, of Hiram, GA, Michael Santorella and his wife, Jacleen of Boston, MA, Patty Santorella of Los Angeles, CA, Joey Boley of Weddington, NC and Taylor Bisson, of Venice FL, his brother, Anthony Santorella of Danvers, MA, his sisters, Rosemary McKeown of Beverly, MA, Alice Caron of Peabody, MA, Connie Lydon of Port St. Lucie, FL and her husband, Tom and many nieces and nephews. Joseph’s family is grateful to the staff of Tidewell Hospice for their loving care and support. His Funeral Service will be held at 10AM on Monday, February 11, 2019 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers, MA. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Middleton. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 9-9:45AM in the funeral home.   1. Uncle Joe was one of a kind. I loved spending time with him up the house in lake winnepausakee. We spent many hours out in his boat and I feel blessed to have been able to spend so much time with him that summer after my sister passed. He had a temper but he also had a sweet gentle side. I love and miss you Uncle Jow. I hope and pray that you both are together forever 💛 I love and miss you! Xozo
