June M. Henderson

June Marie (Moser) Henderson, 89, died peacefully at her home on June 13, 2018, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the wife of the late Leroy P. Henderson, Jr., with whom she shared fifty-five years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on June 24, 1928, she was the daughter of Charles and Olive (Smith) Moser. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a lifelong Danvers resident.
June began her working career at Sylvania, where she met her beloved husband. She retired from the Hogan Regional Center after several years.
A member of the former Calvary Episcopal Church, she had been active in the Altar Guild and Calvary Caterers. She loved camping and spending time with her family and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves her children, Nancy Witham and her husband Henry of Danvers, June Lentine of Danvers, Joyce Henderson and her companion Gary Baker of Peabody, Barbara Dube and her husband Kenneth of Danvers, Richard Henderson and his wife Lori of Maryland, and David Henderson and his wife Allison of Danvers, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings William and Donald Moser, Ruth Perkins, Phyllis Prentiss, Thelma Ingraham, and Pauline Lee.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in North Beverly Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in June’s name may be made to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt June. June was always so kind to me and always had such kind works to say to me. Even though June was my Aunt through marriage, she always made me feel so special. I am going to miss you Aunt June. You were a beautiful and loving person to everyone. 💔

Who would have thought that at a few days short of 90, mom would have over 100 people at her memorial service. What a tribute to mom. The door was always open to family and friends. Love you mom, miss you mom, say hi to dad!
