Katherine E. Bedard

Katherine E. Bedard, 73, of Peabody, died at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic on April 2, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Paul G. Bedard. Born in Salem on September 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Josephine Stacey. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Saint James High School. Kathy was employed in the credit department at Sears for many years and had previously been employed at Conrad & Chandler. Kathy was a longtime Beverly resident and more recently lived in Peabody. She was a faithful communicant at the Discalced Carmelite Monastery in Danvers, where she was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Gregory Bedard and his fiancée, Shara Winton, of Lynn, and John Bedard and his wife, Ramsey, of Brooklyn, NY, a son-in-law, Ryan Harris of Salem, and a brother, Rick Stacey of California. She was the mother of the late Ann K. Harris, who died on March 16, 2022. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11AM in the Chapel of the Discalced Carmelite Monastery, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd., Danvers, MA 01923.
