Kathleen M. (O’Brien) Sheridan, 81, of Danvers, died Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the wife of the late James E. Sheridan, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Melrose on December 8, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Moran) O’Brien. She was raised and educated in Melrose and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s Girls High School, Class of 1961. She furthered her education at Cambridge Junior College.

A longtime Melrose resident, Kathy worked for more than thirty years in the Health Services Department at Tufts University. She later worked part-time at the Danvers Historical Society, volunteered at the Danvers Senior Center, and served as the treasurer and secretary of The Echo Society.

She loved travel and traversed the globe in recent years with her late husband and sister-in-law, Shirley.

She leaves a daughter, Melinda Sheridan of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas, Vincent, Ronald, Robert, and Mary O’Brien.
