Laura M. Corbett

DANVERS- Laura Mary (Bodor) Corbett, 94, passed away surrounded by her family on February 5, 2022.
Born in Lynn on December 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Laura (Denehy) Bodor. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School in 1945. She had worked at D.V. Die as their Comptroller for 20 years and went on to become the “noontime supervisor” in the lunchroom of Steward Elementary School in Topsfield retiring at the age of 87.
Over the years, Laura looked forward to her weekly Bingo nights, and many trips to Foxwoods and Twin Rivers Casino. More recently were Thursdays at the Danvers Senior Center listening to The Maple Sugar Jazz Band.
Laura’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the best Nana you could ever ask for. She will be remembered for her joyful, friendly personality and genuine love and appreciation of life. She was a friend to many and was always just a phone call away.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debra (Dansereau) Faulkner and her husband, Steve of NH, Diane (Dansereau) Ingraham of Danvers and Dale (Dansereau) D’Agnese and her husband, Charlie of Danvers, her grandchildren, Stephen, Bryan and Erica Faulkner, Matt, Shawn and Jeremy Ingraham and Chris and Craig D’Agnese, five great grandchildren, Riley, Casey, Evan, Lena and Noah and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stephen Bodor and Patricia Pashby.
Laura’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her amazing caregiver and friend, Sue Kirby, who brought so much love and happiness to her this past year and a half.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Laura’s name to Shriners Children’s Hospital at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org or Northeast Animal Shelter at https://secure.northeastanimalshelter.org.
Laura was the most fun loving aunt, she was always there when you needed her, in the happy times and the bad. Her girls have been blessed with a wonderful mother. Love you all Denny
