DANVERS- Linda I. (Wood) Dupont, 71, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on August 4, 2018. She was the wife of the late Richard Dupont with whom she shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Sale, England on May 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rebecca Wood. Linda was raised and educated in England and moved to the United States in 1965. Linda along with her husband was the owner and operator of four donut shops, first in Lynn, and then several locations in Beverly known as Rich and Windy’s D-Lite Donutt. Known to her close friends as “Windy”, she had so much passion and dedication for what she believed in. As a true animal lover, she spent the last 10 years of her life as a Vegan and was a constant advocate for the fair treatment of all animals. Windy was a loving and supportive Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend and was a true Matriarch in every sense of the word. Windy had a heart that was pure and her love for her family and friends was unwavering. She touched so many lives with her simple “Hello Love” and her beautiful genuine smile. She is survived by her daughter, Brittany (Dupont) Raesly and her husband Tim Raesly of Danvers, her son, Ryan Dupont of Danvers and four grandchildren, Chloe and Caleb Raesly and Layla and Kaya Dupont. She was predeceased by her siblings, Peter Wood and Carol Nicholson. The family of Linda will receive friends and family from 4-7PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. From Chloe and Lauren’s sleepovers to the amazing birthday cakes, to so many Thanksgivings spent around the table with family we’re born into and the family we choose. EVERY time we were with you we felt loved and SPECIAL! Your bright, loving, shining light will live on through Britt, Tim, Rye and your beautiful grandchildren, and everyone you met. You are in our hearts forever.

  2. Such a beautiful video…tears running down my face ! What a wonderful Gran and such a heartwarming tribute to her giving life. She will be missed, but you will all meet again. Be strong everyone. She would want that.
