Linda S. (Roscoe) Clarizia, 79, died Thursday afternoon, May 19, 2022, at her home in Beverly surrounded by her loving family, following a decades-long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was the beloved wife of Peter D. Clarizia, with whom she was less than one month away from celebrating fifty years of marriage. Linda was born in Beverly on May 4, 1943 to George and Doris (Brown) Roscoe. A lifelong Beverly resident, she was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1961. Linda was employed as a pharmacy technician at Salem Hospital and later at Rite Aid in Danvers. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at Elm Street Hardware in Danvers Square. An accomplished artist, she was a talented watercolorist and enjoyed working with ceramics. She loved working in her garden, where neighbors and passersby would delight in the beauty of her hard work. An avid reader, she managed the book swap at the former Video Paradise in Danvers for many years. She also loved boating and being on the water with her husband and family. In addition to her husband, she leaves two children, Eric Clarizia of Danvers and Amy Clarizia of Salisbury, three grandchildren, Paige, Andie, and Maddie, two sisters, Donna Winslow of Danvers and Joyce Ortiz of Newburyport, several nieces and nephews, and a lifelong friend, Sheila Theriault. Her Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.   8. I remember being at Suburban quality shop in August 1968. I was telling the woman behind the faded gold register that I was collecting keys for a keyring I had been given by my grand. Ms Clarizia disappeared and soon returned with a huge pile of the strangest looking keys. I was so taken aback I thanked her and completely dismissed my purpose to shop. What an absolute luv.
