Marilyn I. Lackey

MARBLEHEAD—Marilyn I. (Church) Lackey, 75, died February 18, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Bruce M. Lackey.
Born in Marblehead on December 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Glenda (Crowley) Church. She was raised and educated in Marblehead and was a 1962 graduate of Marblehead High School.
A lifelong Marblehead resident, Marilyn enjoyed arts & crafts, baking, and social media. She loved being outside with her beloved beagles.
She leaves six nieces and nephews: Rose, Warren, David, Barbara, and Douglas Church and Rhonda Woody; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Carlton, Ralph, and Lewis Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the Dirlam Chapel at Waterside Cemetery, Lakeshore Dr., Marblehead.
Interment will follow on the cemetery grounds. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to a special charity, Beagles of New England States (B.O.N.E.S.), P.O. Box 1510, New Boston, NH 03070, or online at bonesbeagles.org. Arrangements are under the direction of C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
