Marilyn Valcour

September 9, 1933 ~ December 15, 2019

Marilyn was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. Her green thumb could bring any plant back to life. Marilyn loved to spend her summers at her family camp in New Hampshire with a glass of sambuca in hand or on her patio at home with her cat, Gypsy, by her side.
Marilyn’s passing is preceded by her daughter Cheryl Valcour. She is survived by her sister Donna Grover; her daughters Christine Valcour, Vicki Romero and husband Mike, Susan O’Hala and husband Matt and her son Timothy Valcour and wife Dvina (Turbity) Valcour; her grandchildren Kayla, Patrick and fiancé Rikki, Jillian and husband Bryan, Tyler, Emily and husband Jeremy, Jackson and Tommy; her great-grandchildren Jacob, Mason and Hudson.
She will truly be missed at every family gathering and at any party! The family would like to send special thanks to Care Dimensions, especially Annie and her nurse Kate.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, December 27, 2019 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marilyn’s name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
Chris, Vicki, Susan and Tim—I will miss your Mom, especially the warm sunny days when she would be sitting out in the yard with her beloved cat by her side. She always gave me a warm welcome and a big smile! Willow Ave. will not be the same without Marilyn there. If her kitty needs a home, let me know.
Chris, Vicki, Susan and Tim, So very sorry to hear this sad news. I always enjoyed “Mal’s” company, especially having a few cocktails at camp, she was a very special lady.
Miss you “Mal” Cheri
Susan, Vickie, Christine and Tim

So sorry for your loss. I will always remember coming home to find your Mom either sitting in the kitchen having coffee with my mother or sitting on the back stoop having a smoke or drinking a beer with my Dad. Keep the happy times close to your heart! She will be missed.

I hate to say goodbye. We’ve been away a long time but have always kept you in our hearts ❤️. Our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to all of you. So very sorry, Janet, Archie and the family
Chris, Vicki, Susan and Timmy, I am sad beyond words for all of you and your family. So many of my happy childhood memories revolve around your mother. Her acceptance, inclusiveness and love of family and friends were taught not by words and sermonizing, but by her actions. Her zest for life, her willingness to join in the fun and adventures, and that laugh — she was indeed a special person! You are all like her in so many ways. Keep those qualities and her memories in your hearts as you move forward and carry on her legacy. My sympathy and love to you all.
Heaven has gained one very special angel….. Marilyn was the life of the part wherever she went! My deepest sympathies to all of you
