Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I remember when Mary and Bassem lived in the apartment attached to our house. What I remember about her most is that she had a very contagious smile. Always extremely polite and dignified. I also remember her mom and dad when they would come over to visit and even as a youngster they were both stop and say hello to me. She was a wonderful person and our world is certainly a better place because of her. May she rest in peace. Barry Zoll

  2. I am so sorry for the family of Mary Zaki. I had the pleasure of visiting Mary at the Kaplan House and later to her home with my pet therapy dog Rosie. She would always say that Rosie and I made her day! Actually, she made our day more special when we came to see her. We chatted about her being a teacher and being a photographer. She was full of life and brought brightness to those who knew her. I will miss her visits terribly. Rest is peach Mary. Love Rosie and Linda

  3. Mary’s name jumped out at me from the printed page of The Salem News yesterday. I thought, wait a minute — I knew her! I worked at The Boston Company and clearly remember Mary, who was always so helpful when I had questions and needed information from the library. Unfortunately, I never had a real conversation with her about anything except business and had no idea she lived on the North Shore (I was in Salem then). What a lovely photograph of her and how interesting to learn how accomplished she was in so many different areas. Hers was a long life, well lived, and I remember her fondly. My condolences to family and friends who are dealing with the loss of a wonderful woman.
