Mary F. Plamowski

DANVERS- Mary F. (Weir) Plamowski, 85, passed away on her birthday, May 9, 2018 in Lahey Burling Hospital. She was the wife of Edmund J. Plamowski, with whom she shared over sixty years of marriage.
Born in Beverly on May 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Sanphy) Weir. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from the Saint Mary School. She went on to the Catherine Laboure Nursing School and was first employed as a registered nurse with the Carney Hospital in South Boston. Mary also worked at Hunt Hospital, Beverly Hospital and Twin Oaks Nursing Home. She was a devout catholic and was a former communicant of Saint Alphonsus Church.
Mary had strong family values and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling her husband, Ed and her cousin, Geraldine Abbott and her husband, Al. She also enjoyed spending time at Long Beach in Gloucester.
In addition to her husband, Edmund, she is survived by her children, Karen Barnett of Illinois, Edmund Plamowski and his wife, Patricia of Beverly and Gary Plamowski of Danvers, her sister, Sandy Homan of Beverly, her grandchildren, Stacey Rebmann and her husband, Mark, Donald Barnett III and his wife, Adrienne, Breann Bassett and her husband Luke, Edmund Plamowski, Jr. and his wife Christina, Sophie Martin and her husband, Dr. Alexander Martin, and Garrison Plamowski and a great grandson, Donald Barnett IV and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Jackie Weir.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Saint John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass from 11AM-12PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN, 38105 or American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701.
