Michael A. Liacos

DANVERS- Michael A. Liacos, 61, a lifelong resident of Danvers passed away peacefully following a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kathleen Ruta-Liacos of Danvers.
Born in Danvers on November 14, 1958, he was the son of Emeline (Sprague) Liacos of Danvers and the late Arthur Liacos and. He graduated from Danvers High School in 1976. Michael was the owner and operator of the former C & A Taxi Service in Danvers. He more recently had been employed as a monitor to LBK Transportation. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, music and was a race car enthusiast. Michael was also an exceptional mechanic.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepdaughter, Nikki and step grandson Ezekial, three siblings, Susan Amor of Danvers, James Liacos of NC and Georgia Bettencourt and her husband, Mark of Danvers and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4PM on Monday, January 6, 2020 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from 3-4PM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited.
