Nannina (Cotoia) Cobuzzi, 88, died Friday evening, April 14, 2017 at her home in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Michele Cobuzzi. Born in Panni, Italy on Jan. 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Elisa (Dechiara) Cotoia. She was raised and educated in Italy and came to the United States in 1971, settling in Danvers. For many years, Mrs. Cobuzzi worked in the housekeeping department at the former Hunt Memorial Hospital. A communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, she loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, and baking cookies. She always thought of others before herself. She leaves four loving children, Donata Pentella and her husband Domenico of Wilmington, Antonietta Cognati and her husband Joseph Elliott of Danvers, Frank Cobuzzi of Danvers, and Maria Azzaoui and her husband Zaki of Pelham, NH, her grandchildren, Angelo Pentella and his wife Nayeli, Annalisa Pentella, and Michael Pentella and his wife Andraya, Mauro Cognati, Jeffrey and Dane Elliott, and Sarah and Ali Azzaoui, four great-grandchildren, Domenico, Avelina, Isabella, and Giavanna, a sister, Luigia Cotoia of Italy, and a loving extended family. She was predeceased by two sisters, Incoronata and Maria Cotoia. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
