Patricia (Fennessey) Bedard, 85, of Danvers passed away on September 1, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Bedard.
Born in Salem on August 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Charlotte (Erickson) Fennessey. Patricia was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Ste Chretienne Academy in Salem. She found her true calling as a nursing assistant and had a long career at J.B. Thomas Hospital and Lahey Clinic in Peabody. Patricia loved her job and was a caretaker for patients, family, and friends for many years.
Patricia’s compassion and steady devotion extended beyond her professional life. She was a long-time parishioner and volunteer at Saint Richard Church in Danvers. She was also a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader and volunteered at the North Shore Music Theater.
Raising her children was her pride and joy, there was never a time when her house was not filled with at least one of her children or grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Paul Levesque of Danvers, Catherine (Levesque) Burke of Lynn, Mark Levesque and his wife Jamie of NH and Theresa Bedard of Salem, five stepchildren, Brian Bedard of NH, Gary, Ronald, and David Bedard of Swampscott, Elena Roessler and her husband Kurt of NH, her grandchildren, Cassandra, Ce-Ja, Edward, Mary, Joshua, Lillian, Jennifer, Zahrah, Melissa, Kimberly, Cassandra, and Ryan, 15 great grandchildren and her sisters Charlotte Fontaine of Peabody and Mary Ellen Fennessey of CA. She was predeceased by her step-son, Douglas Bedard of Swampscott.
Patricia will be remembered for her vibrant and child-like spirit, and her family invites all to wear bright colors in her honor at her upcoming services.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at C.R. Lyons & Sons,28 Elm St, Danvers. Burial is private.
