DANVERS- Paul J. Kobialka, 80, peacefully passed away on April 20, 2020 in his home with family by his side following a valiant battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Martha (Cutler) Kobialka with whom he shared nearly 55 nearly of marriage. Born in Salem on September 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Jan and Josephine (Pastsuczak) Kobialka. He graduated from Salem High School in 1958. Paul attended Franklin Technical School in Boston. He served our country with the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Paul was a true craftsman his entire life. Plumbing, welding, carpentry, name it, he did it. He worked for Mercier Plumbing prior to GT & E Labs for 10 year, where he was supervisor. He then ran his business, Precision Plumbing & Engineering for 10 years with his partner, Paul LePage. He finished his career at Donovan Engineering & Construction. Paul was a member of the N.R.A., Danvers Fish and Game, Orleans Fish and Game in VT, where he enjoyed many years on Lake Willoughby. With his many talents, he was always ready to help whoever needed it. He was always there and could be counted on. His true passion in life was the outdoors; he enjoyed hiking, fishing and hunting. Paul thrived on it and traveled all over the U.S and Canada to enjoy the woods. He adored his cat, Cody, who he adored for 15 years. Besides his wife, Martha, he leaves his siblings, Mary “Mickey” DeFranco of Salem, Theodore “Ted” Kobialka of Salem and Joseph “Joe” (Theresa) Kobialka, nieces and nephews, Claudia (Jim) Chappell, Donna (Edward) Seligman, Kathy (Arthur) Sargent, Edward (Gloria) DeFranco, Paul DeFranco, Frank (Heidi) DeFranco, Ann (Paul) Tucker, Karen (Bob) Moran, Shirley (John) Kapnis, Linda (John) Quattrocci, Ronald Kobialka, Diane (Daniel) Saffer, Richard Pierce, Wendy Cloutier, Josephine Smith, Shirley Campo, his dear friends, Carol Olsen and Avis Wheeler and many more, too numerous to list. He was predeceased by siblings, Emile and Edward and Loretta Kobialka, Joan Pierce, Helen Fido, his nephew, Scott Pierce and dear friend, Al “Bunky” and Edie Dyer. Paul was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle and friend. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Paul’s name to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA, 01970 or the American Cancer, 300 5th Ave, Waltham, MA, 02451.
