Paula G. Bernard, 69, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Theodore E. Johnson, Jr. of Hamilton and the late Richard A. Bernard. Born in Salem on April 17, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Irene (Krajeski) Levesque. Paula was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1968 graduate of Danvers High School. For twenty-four years, she was employed at Comdel, Inc. in Gloucester. A longtime Hamilton resident, she loved riding and caring for horses. More than anything, she was dedicated to her family and was a constant caregiver to those in her life who needed help. In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Michelle Zimmerman and her husband Keith of Danvers, Viki Brooks of Danvers, Jeremy Bernard of Lunenburg, and Zachary Johnson of Hamilton, her brother, Joseph Levesque and his wife Judy of Alstead, NH, her granddaughter, Kelsey Brooks of Danvers, two nephews, Daniel and Geoffrey Dubiel, and her son-in-law, Gary Brooks. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Patricia Dubiel, and two beloved granddaughters, Alexis Zimmerman and Danielle Geras. Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5-8PM in the funeral home.
