Pedro D. Marticio

BELLINGHAM- Pedro D. Marticio, 73, formerly of Danvers, passed away on December 9, 2018. He was the husband of the late Darlet (Martin) Marticio. Born in Chelsea on June 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Inocencio and Eleanor (Dowling) Marticio. Pedro was raised and educated in Danvers and Rock Ridge. He was a proud veteran who served his country with the United States Coast Guard and retired in 1983. After his retirement, he continued to be active in veteran’s groups and was always willing to share his experiences. Pedro was an amazing story teller and there was usually a joke included in the stories he told. He was a devoted grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by two daughters, Gale Doran and her husband, Mark of Bellingham and Leigh Marticio of Beverly, his grandchildren, Natalie and Adam Doran, a step-daughter, Darlet Godman of GA, his sister, April Marticio of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edward, John, Janesta, Ellen, Eleanor and Ino. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 3-6PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pedro’s name to The Salvation Army, 29 Congress Street, Milford, MA 01757.
