Phyllis M. Hurley

Phyllis M. (Wade) Hurley, 82, of Topsfield, died Saturday morning, March 27, 2021 following a period of declining health. She was the loving wife of the late James P. Hurley, who predeceased her in 2006. Phyllis was born in Marblehead on Oct. 18, 1938 to Philip and Marjorie (Harris) Wade. She was raised and educated in Marblehead and Topsfield and was a graduate of Topsfield High School. She was a loving wife and mother and was dedicated to her two grandsons. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home. She leaves a son, Peter Hurley and his wife Anna of Palm Desert, CA, two grandsons, Jeff and Tim Hurley, a sister, Martha Small of Georgetown, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Apr. 1, 2021 at noon in Pine Grove Cemetery, Haverhill Rd., Topsfield. Visiting hours are Thursday morning from 10AM-11:30AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. Attendees are kindly asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
