Phyllis W. D'Eon

DANVERS- Phyllis (Walfield) D’Eon passed away on her 100th birthday on May 10, 2020. She was the wife of the late Warren J. D’Eon. Born in Danvers on May 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late George and Doris (Giles) Walfield. Phyllis was a lifelong Danvers resident. She graduated from Holten High School in 1936. She received her bachelor’s degree for Boston University and her master’s degree from Bentley College. Phyllis was a longtime member of the First Congregation Church in Danvers. She was a member of the Garden Club and Historical Society. Phyllis served on the Town of Danvers Finance Committee. She is survived by her children, Jane Maihos of Danvers, Randall Kimball and his wife, Donna of Danvers, Lorraine D’Eon of Salem and Roger Kimball and his wife, Lucia of Haverhill, fourteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Melvin Kimball, two children, Geraldine Fudge and Richard Kimball and her siblings, Philip Walfield, Marcia Austin and Norma Rust. Her funeral services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Phyllis’ name to the Danvers Garden Club, P.O. Box 167, Danvers, MA, 01923.
