DANVERS- Priscilla A. (Allen) Russell, 84, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on June 18, 2017 in the Kaplan family Hospice House. She was the loving wife of Bertram A. Russell, Jr., with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage. Born in Boston on May 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and Ernestine (Berry) Allen. She was raised and educated in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School. Priscilla treasured her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping and the occasional martini (any kind). In addition to her husband, Bert, she is survived by four children, Mark Russell and his wife, Maureen of Danvers, Brian Russell of Peabody, Wanda Pierce and her husband, Michael of Danvers and Bert Russell III and his companion, Donna Diefendorf of NH, 6 grandchildren, Tara, Ian and Annie Russell, Jonathan Pierce, Melissa Pennelatore and Mary Ellen Lear, 8 great grandchildren, Leah, Abby, Bella, Max, Lilah, Jonathan, Samantha and Meeghan and her dog, Gunny. She was predeceased by her son, Kevin Russell, her sister, Joyce Tagg and her daughter-in-law, Shirley Russell. Priscilla’s family would like to thank her caregivers, Patti Nardone and Lucia Webb and the staff at Masconomet and Kaplan Family Hospice House for the special care and kindness given to her. A Celebration of Life will be held in Priscilla’s honor at 11AM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Gazebo at the Danversport Yacht Club, 107 Elliott St., Danvers, with a gathering in Garden Terrace room to immediately follow. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers., MA 01923 or the Resident Council at Masconomet Healthcare, 123 High St., Topsfield, MA 01983.

  1. My happiest memory of bert and Priscilla was the wedding we held at their camp. Bert and Priscilla got a lot of laughter, out of this. I cherish you both for being so dedicated to one another. May your heart’s live on forever.
