Priscilla B. Spears, 90, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George R. Spears. Born in Danvers on Feb. 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Etta (McKinnon) Benvie. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School. As a young woman, she loved playing the piano and was a church pianist. For many years, she was employed as a secretary at Beverly Hospital. A Beverly resident since 1963, Priscilla loved being around family and friends. She always had a positive spirit and was a role model with a heart of gold. She leaves a daughter, Doreen Bussone and her husband David of The Villages, FL, her grandchildren, Kristin Faris and her husband Scott, Marc Bussone and his wife Allison, Robin Spears and her fiancé Chris Charron and Ryan Spears and his fiancée Kathleen Collins, six great-grandchildren, Brailey, Marissa, Elaina, Isla, Zoey, and Maya, two daughters-in-law, Marcia Ladd-Spears and Rebecca Merry Berry, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased just three weeks ago by her loving son, Geoffrey Spears, as well as two sisters, Patricia Moody and Pauline Moore. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 28 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 1-3PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Donations in Priscilla’s name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
