DANVERS- Priscilla M. (Levasseur) Smagula, 94, passed away on January 30, 2019 in Essex Park Nursing Home in Beverly. She was the loving wife of the late William Smagula. Born in Middleborough on May 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mabel (McCartney) Levasseur. She was raised and educated in Salem and attended Salem Vocational High School. She moved to Danvers in 1949. Priscilla had been the assistant director of volunteers at the state hospital for many years. She was very active in at the Danvers Senior Center and enjoyed their quilting group. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Blinder of FL, Joan Stantial of Danvers and Judy Feener and her husband David of Topsfield, her grandchildren, Timothy Foss of Danvers, Kelly Diver of Beverly, Kori Young of WI, Kimberly Feener of Topsfield and Beau Blinder of Boston, five great grandchildren, her brother, Richard Levasseur of Beverly and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and her sister. Her Funeral Service will be held at 7PM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 4PM-6:45PM in the funeral home. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Priscilla’s name to Danvers People-to-People Food Pantry, PO BOX 2076 Danvers MA 01923.
