It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ricardo Manuel “Rick” Lovett, who left us on February 11, 2025, at the age of 59, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Rick was born on September 26, 1965, in London, England, to the late Maria and Reginald Lovett. He moved to the United States as a child and later graduated from Danvers High School in 1983. Following high school, Rick served in the United States Marine Corps. He spent most of his career working in the semiconductor industry, most recently with Applied Materials in Gloucester as an installation coordinator.
Rick had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in hiking and kayaking in Pittsburg, NH, and soaking up the sun on Cape Cod with his wife, Celine. He was also a talented cook who loved preparing meals for family and friends. His warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rick loved his family more than anything. He is survived by his loving wife, Celine (Charron) Lovett; his children, Krystine, James, and Samantha; along with grandchildren Benjamin and Mia, and their mother, Stephanie. He also leaves behind his sister, Christina (Lovett) Steeves, and her husband, Jeremy; his brothers, Juan and his wife, Susan, and Alejandro and his wife, Fiona. Rick was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Maria and Reginald Lovett.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hyder Family Hospice House for their compassionate care during Rick’s final days.
His beloved dog, Molly, is surely waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge, ball in mouth, ready to play once again. Though he is no longer with us, his kindness, laughter, and love for adventure will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visiting hours at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers on Tuesday, February 18, from 4-7 pm. His funeral service will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Rick’s memory.

Charities
The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Ricardo M. Lovett 's name.
I went to boot camp at the same time as Rick and was stationed with him at Camp Johnson for 3 months. Great personality and sense of humor. Also, a great Marine!! Semper Fi Brother🇺🇸.

Rick was a valuable member of the Installation Team here at Applied Materials. He was a great teammate, always willing to help his coworkers outside of his own responsibilities. He will be greatly missed! I was fortunate to be able to visit Rick at Hyder House during his final days. He fought his battle with cancer with great dignity and was more concerned with his family’s wellbeing than with his own passing. His handling of the situation he had to endure is inspiring to me personally. I will always remember the courage he displayed and his concern for other in the worst of times.

Rick was dedicated and passionate about his work at Varian, we could rely on him to do the right thing. He was always willing to lend a hand to his colleagues and friends. Rick’s easy going demeaner enhanced our team’s comradery. You could sense the influence of the U.S. Marines on Rick’s approach to work and life, disciplined but fair. Semper Fi.
Sorry to learn of my fellow DHS classmate and fellow Marine passing. My condolences to his family. Semper Fi Brother.
