Richard T. Pyburn

August 28, 1932 ~ July 19, 2022
Richard T. Pyburn, died Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his home in Danvers, the same home in which he was born nearly ninety years ago. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara A. (Stanley) Pyburn, who predeceased him in 2020.
Born on August 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carrie (Jermyn) Pyburn. He was educated in Danvers schools and was a 1950 graduate of Holten High School.
Dick served on the Danvers Fire Department for thirty-two years, retiring in 1997.
He was also an accomplished landscaper who designed, built, and maintained the gardens of numerous estates on the North Shore. His love of gardening extended to his home, where he enjoyed diligently caring for his yard until his recent illness.
An avid motorcyclist, Dick enjoyed many great trips on his bike. Always happiest with family, he loved large Pyburn family gatherings and barbecues in the back yard.
He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit.
He leaves two daughters, Judith Mittica and her husband Gerald of Springfield, VT and Carolyn Callahan and her fiancé Steve Hansen of Georgetown, five grandchildren, Joseph Mittica, Carissa Pistilli, Jennifer Moldover, Ryan Callahan, and Lindsay Callahan, five great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Natalie, Annabelle, Jacob, and Joshua, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Lawrence Callahan, and his siblings William, Robert, George, and Joseph Pyburn and Doris Sanger.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Relatives and friends are invited. All other services are private.
