Ronald P. Tierney

Ronald P. Tierney, best known as Ron, has passed peacefully after 91 years sharing his life with us on January 20, 2025. He was predeceased by the love of his life Joan Ann (Riley) Tierney.

Starting in Oceanside, New York, on April 20, 1933. Ron was born to the late Peter and Gerda (Gudmundsson) Tierney along with three brothers: Mickey, Jeff and the late Robert.

He is survived by his son Gregory, daughter Daryl with husband Jay and son Kevin with wife Sabra, bonding closely with his with grandchildren Scott, Kaela, Brandon and Ryan.

Ron was a loving, gentle and kind soul who enjoyed many years of advancement within his career at Exxon. During a very full lived retirement, Ron and Joan took two full years in their RV and traveled the United States, finally settling down for the winter months in Lady Lake, Florida. He enjoyed most days on many golf courses both here in New England and The Villages in Florida.
