Ruth E. Pydynkowski

Ruth E. (Milbury) Pydynkowski, 91, a lifelong Danvers resident, died Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alphonse J. Pydynkowski.
Born in Danvers on January 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Coleman) Milbury. She was a 1944 graduate of Holten High School and attended the Salem Commercial School.
Ruth was employed for eight years as a clerk and typist at the Dept. of Public Welfare in Danvers. She retired in 1989 after nearly twenty-five years as an assembler at GTE Sylvania at the Sylvan Street, Danvers plant.
She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participating in school and college sports and other activities, and traveling with friends.
She leaves two daughters and four sons, Kathy L. Chirco and her husband Tony of Amesbury, JoAnn Marshall and her husband Jack of Danvers, John Pydynkowski of Danvers, Kevin Pydynkowski and his wife Elise of Freedom, NH, William Pydynkowski of Danvers, and Robert Pydynkowski of Danvers, 14 grandchildren, Lisa Rogers, Daniel, Jaclyn, and Brian Marshall, and Jill, Becky, Andrea, Kara, Kyle, Taryn, Aaron, Leah, William, and Tia Pydynkowski, 7 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Selma O’Donal of Maine and Rae O’Donal of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Lois Grant, and a brother, Willard Milbury.
Her Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 West Central St., Suite 220, Natick, MA 01760.

We are so sorry for the loss of Gram! She was Gram Pyndo to all of us. She was so strong and full of spunk, always attending every event with a kind word for anyone she came across. Gram was always very welcoming to our family whenever we saw her, always having a big smile and a hug for us! You could see the love and pride she had for all of her family, especially the kids! Gram will truly be missed by all! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you as you help each other get through this very difficult time!
