Stanley Thomas Michalski

Stanley Thomas Michalski Jr., formerly of Danvers, died on June 15, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Stan was born in Boston and was raised in South Boston, the son of the late Stanley T. and Julia (Cwikewicz) Michalski. He was a graduate of Gate of Heaven High School and Suffolk University. After college, he attended Officers Candidate School and became a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. He served during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged at the rank of captain.
After completing his military service, Stan joined Raytheon where he was employed for 32 years. His job took him all over the United States, Europe, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Stan was an accomplished private pilot. He loved taking family and friends on flights to the Cape, Nantucket, Atlantic City, N.H. or just a sightseeing trip over Boston.
Stan was a caring neighbor and friend, always available to lend a hand or just to offer advice.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Anne (Flynn), with whom he shared almost 56 years of marriage. His daughters, both of whom he adored, Elizabeth and her husband Wallace Willard, and Maureen and her husband, Gregory Plowman. He was a fun, loving and proud Gampy to Emma and Alexander Willard and Flynn Plowman. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Stan was the brother of the late Paul J. Michalski.
Stan and his kindness, generosity, and quick wit will be forever missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Merrimack Valley Hospice and the staff at High Point Hospice House in Haverhill for the love and care they gave to Stan and to them during his final days.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, June 23, 2022, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Stan’s name may be made to High Point House, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA, 01830.
