Lit a candle in memory of Thelma I. Churchill
When I was on travel for work once and visited your mom and dad with a friend who would not let me travel at night alone, Mr. and Mrs. Churchill welcomed my stranger and me with open and loving arms. Mr. Churchill and my friend smoked cigars; and Mrs. Churchill fixed us her New England boiled dinner, I believe it was called. My friend and I enjoyed it all–but mostly, the company. Both of your parents treated us like royalty, and my friend said so after we left. If I recall correctly, my friend sat next to Mr. Churchill’s mom at dinner and also thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. I have never forgotten that special evening. I loved your mom and your dad and love them still. God be with all of you as you grieve your mom’s loss. We Crane’s grieve with you. Love, Susan Crane Reyes
