Theresa D. Marino

Theresa D. (Hanson) Marino, 81, died Thursday, April 20, 2017. She was the beloved wife of Joseph P. Marino of Peabody. Born in Bangor, ME on June 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl (Allen) Hanson. She was raised and educated in Maine and was a graduate of Bangor High School. For several years until her retirement, Mrs. Marino worked as a sales clerk at the former Jordan Marsh Co. She and her husband volunteered for many years in a nursing home ministry, where she especially enjoyed music. She also enjoyed reaching out to friends and family through greeting cards, sending out special messages at any occasion that would brighten someone’s day. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Joseph D. Marino and his wife Annette of Seabrook, NH and Robert P. Marino of Lynn, five grandchildren, Joseph, Tyler, Nicole, Lauren, and Nathan, and a sister, Marlene. She was predeceased by two siblings, Reginald and Wanda. Her Memorial Service will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11AM in the chapel at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
