Thomas S. Russo

Thomas S. Russo, 79, a longtime Danvers resident, died Wednesday morning, June 28, 2017. He was the loving husband of Jean M. (Muse) Russo, with whom he shared fifty-one years of marriage.
Born in Boston on June 26, 1938, he was the son of the late Thomas and Cecile (Hall) Russo. He was raised in Jamaica Plain and Salisbury and was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Newburyport, Class of 1957.
An honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army, Tom served in Vietnam and then had an active career in the U.S. Army Reserves, with nearly thirty-five years of proud service to his country.
For forty-six years, Tom was employed by Devcon in Danvers.
He enjoyed stamp collecting, Elvis, and Karaoke. For several years he played in the Danvers Recreation Basketball League.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Dawn LaGrassa and her husband John of Danvers, Kimberly Torres and her husband Alfredo of Danvers, and Dennis Russo and his girlfriend Donna Dyer of Salem, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his siblings Leo Hyman, Beverly Clancy, Cynthia King, Leone Weiner, and Deborah Andruskiewicz, and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Donations in Tom’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
I used to go to the Herman A. Spear Post in Beverly and enjoy the bands music!!!
