DANVERS- Vincent C. Campana passed away in his home one day before his 85th birthday on May 21, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Aurora (Ciampa) Campana with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on May 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Vincent and Josephine (Amenta) Campana. Vincent was a lifelong resident of Danvers, graduating from Holten High School. He served as an altar boy at Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. He was also a communicant at Saint Richard Parish in later years. Vincent was a Navy veteran and served his country as a corpsman during the Korean War. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University and stared his career in education. Vincent taught 5th grade in the Boston Public School System. He went on to receive his master’s degree in education at Salem State College and became a school psychologist, also in the Boston Schools. He enjoyed traveling especially to Cape Cod and Florida. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Aurora and Steven Morse of North Reading, his grandchildren, Andrew, Aurora and Joseph Morse and Jaden, Javon and Gianni Campana and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Campana, and his siblings, Angelina “Angie” Campana and Richard “Rich” Campana. His Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 25, 2018 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vincent’s name to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
